Terminal Switching

I am interested in technology, how we are becoming more dependent upon it and how we might remain free from it.  I first started down this track when I read literary theorist and philosopher Kenneth Burke’s musings on the virtues and dangers of cooperation, and the German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s concerns regarding technology.

My big question: Is technology making us dumber and less civil?

These concepts are brought together in my first book of poems Terminal Switching, Elk River Review Press 2007.
